Have You Found Your Favorite Coconut Oil Use?
Other than ingesting coconut oil and getting all the nutritional benefits of this wonderful oil, there are many uses for coconut oil that don’t involve eating it. You can read about a lot of them in my book “101 Creative Coconut Oil Uses.” Once you’ve tried a few of them, you’ll have some that will be your favorites.
The one way to use coconut oil that I really love, for many reasons, is to clean my Jacuzzi tub. When I found this use I was actually in the tub and I had some coconut oil nearby. So, just for fun I let a little of the water out so the dirt and soap ring was in clear sight. I thought I would have to add salt or something to make it more abrasive but I didn’t need it. I just put some on my washcloth and wiped it off. It was amazing! Plus, when I rubbed it in a little more it really shined the tub up. Now, I disinfect my tub and I don’t have to sit in chemicals left from using toxic scouring powder.
Another benefit is, the next time I took a bath the scum didn’t stick and cause a ring. The usual ring of dirt just slid right off. So, the next time I took a bath it hardly took any effort to clean up my tub.
Have you ever looked at the ingredients of what is in scouring powders? You probably haven’t because they’re really hard to find. Have you ever wondered why a company would withhold information about what is in their product? I wonder about these things all the time, which is another reason why I use coconut oil to clean my tub. When you use coconut oil you are disinfecting your tub without having to sit in the residue of any chemicals.
If you try this, I’m sure you will agree that it is one use to add to your favorite coconut oil use list!
